2026 Border Federal Credit Union and Border Fellowship Foundation (BFF) Scholarship
Thank you for your interest in the Border Federal Credit Union and Border Fellowship Foundation (BFF) Scholarship Program. Through this partnership, we are proud to support students' educational goals in the communities we serve. Since its inception, this scholarship program has awarded nearly $240,000 to local students. Border FCU remains committed to investing in the future of our youth and helping them succeed both academically and financially.
About the Border Fellowship Foundation (BFF)
The Border Fellowship Foundation (BFF) is the charitable arm of Border Federal Credit Union, created to expand our impact beyond traditional financial services. Through scholarships, financial education, and community-focused initiatives, BFF is dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening the communities we serve. As part of this mission, BFF is partnering with Border FCU to provide scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors in 2026.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Be the primary account holder of an active membership account at Border Federal Credit Union at the time of application.
(A relative’s membership account does not qualify.)Be a Class of 2026 high school senior graduating from a school located within Border FCU’s service areas.
Be accepted to and planning to attend an accredited college, university, or technical school in the Summer or Fall 2026 semester.
Have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
If you are not currently a member of Border FCU, you must open an account before submitting your scholarship application. Accounts can be opened at any Border FCU service location or by calling (830) 774-2328 to schedule an appointment. To open an account, you will need a valid Texas ID and a Social Security Card.
Application Deadline
The scholarship application deadline is midnight on April 19, 2026.
To complete your application, you must:
Submit the online scholarship application below.
Provide the following documents:
Acceptance letter from the college, university, or technical school you plan to attend
Most recent official high school transcript
Documents may be submitted by mail or Email.

All mailed documents must be postmarked by April 19, 2026.
An application will be considered complete only after the online application is submitted and all required documents are received by the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Scholarship recipients will have funds directly deposited into their Border FCU member share account. Family members of Border Federal Credit Union employees, Board Members, and Supervisory Committee members are eligible to apply.
